Why should you use Short Stop Filter?
In the internal elements of every waterjet system, migrating water molecules dislocate as they move along the high-pressure conduits. These particles encounter the waterjet orifice, impacting and potentially damaging the edge of the hole. When water contamination is greater than the opening in the orifice, the orifice assembly becomes partially or completely blocked.
There are always micro-imperfections in the diamond material. These imperfections can lead to cracks due to the impact force when the cutting process is started and stopped.
How does Short Stop Filter work?
- Protects the orifice and on/off valves and increases jet productivity by trapping and removing contaminants (generated by normal wear and maintenance).
- It simply and effectively captures contaminants larger than
0.0055” (0.14 mm) striking and blocking the orifice. Any particles small enough to pass through the filters in the pump will also exit safely through the orifice opening.
